Cleanup After Dead Body
Our employees are trained in dealing with bio hazards. They are also trained in dealing with stressful situations, when emotions may be running high. Often a tenant passes away and the situation must be dealt with in a safe and compassionate manner. Yet the job must also get done in a timely manner.
The first order of business is to remove and properly dispose of any biohazard materials such as human and animal waste, spoiled and contaminated food, mold, bacterial growth, broken glass, fire hazards and other potential hazards such as drug paraphernalia.
The second order of business is to clear the property its contents. Contents and belongings must be logged and dealt with in the best interests of the interested parties. Salvageable contents may be cleaned and restored, returned to next of kin, or donated. Temporary off-site storage solutions are often implemented to assist in this part of the process.
Once the property is cleared, the entire area can be cleaned, disinfected, and deodorized. This takes time and must be done respectfully, yet must also be done as efficiently and effectively as possible in order to get the rental back on the market.
